Benefits of Yoga

Yoga is a centuries old system of mind and body fitness. From physical fitness developing flexibility, strength, balance, posture, co-ordination and body awareness. As well, yoga gives attention to the breath reminding us how to breathe properly, expanding lung capacity and improving endurance. So whilst  exercising our body, yoga also helps us learn to relax and find some inner peace, with yoga teaching us how to take a few moments from the busy and hectic pace that is life to simply breathe, relax and be calmer.

Weekly Classes

Garden Studio Yoga

Join me in my tranquil garden studio for small group Hatha Yoga classes (maximum 8 people). During the winter evenings the space is lit with candles, a beautiful warm light to practice. Whilst during the summer, nature blows in through the window with the scent of flowers and evening birdsong. A truly peaceful setting helping us to find our yoga.

All the classes are a traditional form of yoga known as Hatha Yoga which is a gentle, non-flow yoga practice which includes postures (asanas), yoga breathwork (pranayama) and meditation.

I offer a dedicated class for beginners or those who want a gentler class on Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm

Whilst Monday evening at 6.30pm is a more dynamic yoga practice for those with some yoga experience. This class is also available on Zoom

Both classes utilise the stillness of the poses to challenge and build strength as well as still our busy minds.  Pre-booking is essential. Click here to book your space.

Workplace Wellbeing

For businesses looking to introduce or expand their health and well-being provision to staff or for individuals looking to find some clarity in their busy minds, reduce stress, bringing some calm and focus to the workplace Heartfelt Wellness can help. We can offer Meditation & Mindfulness or Yoga in your workplace as either one-off workshops, bespoke courses or even weekly classes.

Our passion for bringing meditation to the workplace stems from time spent in business where we saw people suffer from the negative effects of stress everyday; making them unproductive, difficult to work with, often tired and irritable, taking days off sick and losing their passion and creativity for their job and career.

Meditation and yoga can help us to survive modern day stresses as it allows our mind to settle in stillness, let's us take a break from over thinking everything, learning to recognize how our thoughts shape our emotions and allowing us to take back control of our wellbeing regaining both clarity and peace in our work and personal lives.

Breathing deeply and fully we can bring peacefulness to our bodies whilst breath awareness can help us to be more focused.
  • Yoga also teaches us how to quiet the mind.
